Future Of ACA Hinges On Bipartisan Compromise
On March 23, the Affordable Care Act celebrates its 10-year anniversary.
After 10 years of judicial, legislative and regulatory efforts to narrow the reach and impact of the law, it hardly resembles the landmark legislation that was passed in 2010. Whether the law will survive another decade, and in what form, largely depends on the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.
One thing is certain: The only way changes to our health care system will be successful in the long-run is if they are the product of bipartisan compromise.
