Catherine Kaiman

Staff Attorney

Cady Kaiman serves as a staff attorney for Wolfe Pincavage. She works closely with the healthcare team to maximize results and achieve positive outcomes for the firm’s provider clients through research, writing and case management. Her unique skill set includes extensive litigation experience, knowledge of state Medicaid programs, and health justice.

Prior to joining Wolfe Pincavage, Cady gained invaluable legal experience in various capacities and matters of the law including civil rights and environmental justice. Upon graduating law school with her JD/MPH, Cady co-founded the University of Miami School of Law Environmental Justice Clinic and served as the practitioner-in-residence. She also served as an associated attorney with Earthjustice’s Florida Regional Office. Some of her more recent experience includes her role as the supervising attorney and pro bono coordinator at the Tennessee Justice Center where she directed systemic issue advocacy through federal litigation, and managed a team of seven attorneys and caseworkers, and oversaw more than 1,000 yearly individual Medicaid and public benefit cases. She also previously clerked for the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Cady takes great satisfaction in sharing her legal perspective and advancing an understanding of social justice law. She has provided expert commentary and analysis on such matters to various news outlets including Huffington Post and New Republic. Her scholarly work has been cited by important legal journals such as the Harvard Environmental Law Review. She has also lectured at various university conferences including the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law Symposium and at the University of Miami Rosensthiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science.

Cady earned her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Florida International University. She has a Master’s in Public Health and J.D. from the University of Miami, graduating with the Special Public Interest Recognition. She is admitted to the state bars of Florida, New York, and New Jersey, and Tennessee.
